Why setup is more than a name and address
An approved account that is set up sloppily undoes the work you did approving it. If the entity name is wrong, the limit is not entered, or the terms default to something generous, your controls never fire. This template lists the fields to complete so the account behaves exactly as approved.

How to use it
Complete this immediately after approval and before the first order. The most important fields are the legal entity name (it must match what you will invoice and, if needed, sue), the credit limit, and the payment terms — enter the limit so your system blocks or flags orders that breach it.
Confirm the setup to the customer with a short note stating their limit, terms and how to pay, and point them to Merion tools if useful. Cross-check against your setup template on file before going live.

Tips
- The entity name must match what you invoice — and could one day sue.
- Enter the limit so the system enforces it on order entry, not just on paper.
- Default the account to the approved payment terms, not a generous fallback.
- Confirm limit, terms and payment method to the customer in writing.
FAQ
Why does the exact entity name matter so much?
Invoices and any recovery action must be against the correct legal entity. A mismatch causes disputes and complicates collection.
How do I make a limit actually enforce?
Enter it in your accounting or order system so orders that breach it are blocked or flagged, rather than relying on memory.
Should I confirm setup to the customer?
Yes — a short note stating limit, terms and how to pay prevents misunderstandings and reinforces the terms they accepted.
